The National Flag of Uzbekistan is a multi-colored banded flag of of blue, white, and green. The blue color represents the sky and water, green nature. The middle thin red stripes symbolise life good and pure with the eternal sky.
The crescent moon for the rebirth of Uzbekistan from colonial rule and Islam and the holy month of Ramadan, where the Muslims rely on the crescent moon (“hilal”) as a signal for them to start fasting. The 12 white, five-pointed stars which signifies peace and the striving for purity in thoughts and deeds and “Allah” in the style of Arabic script.
